At Word of Life NZ one of our big focuses is to partner with the local church to create Gospel advancing Ministries. 

We have a dedicated Local Church Ministry (LCM) team who connect with and support youth pastors/leaders all over Aotearoa. One of the ways we seek to serve the local church is by running youth night events, these are Gospel focused nights giving youth the opportunity to invite their friends to hear the Good news of Jesus. 

Youth nights have been a major part of the South Island Team's ministry, and have acted as a great vessel for building relationships with the local church. Following the recent Christchurch ORIGIN, we we’re able to continue south with a big team and run three Youth Night events in Dunedin and Gore.

Each of these events were outreach opportunities for teens to invite their unsaved friends to a place where they would hear the Gospel. It was encouraging to have a conversation with a dad before an event who was dropping his son off. His Son didn't usually attend a youth group but he had just been invited by his friend to this event. We love seeing teenagers excited about the opportunity to impact their friends with the life-changing message of the Gospel!

Over the course of these events we served youth ministries from 11 different churches, and saw 17 youth respond to the Gospel. It was awesome to be able to serve these faithful leaders and support the work they’re doing with young people in their communities.
