It was amazing to see God at work in youth groups across the South Island as we ran five Youth Night's in Christchurch, Dunedin and Gore throughout the month of August. We saw youth leaders encouraged, many friends invited, 16 youth ministries served and ultimately, 400 teenagers who heard the Gospel.

Our vision at Word of Life is "to see every young person in our nation impacted by the gospel through a friend". And the heart behind our events is to create an opportunity for youth to invite their friends along to hear the Good News and get connected with a youth group. So when we heard youth saying they had been invited by friends, and hearing this over and over again we were incredibly encouraged. 

"At our event in Dunedin I spoke to a young man who wasn't normally part of a youth group. It was so encouraging to then see him and his friend talking to a youth leader later that evening. The leader was telling him about their youth group and making sure he knew he was welcome to come along."

It is these little moments that get us excited, because our heart and ministry is not about events it is about empowering young people to share their faith! We want to say a massive thank you to the prayer team and anyone else who was lifting us up in prayer as we ran these events. We would love to ask you to continue to pray for the local church youth group leaders as they follow up and disciple youth who responded at these events.
